International Women in Engineering Day (June 23 2021) is an international awareness campaign to raise the profile of women in engineering and focus attention on the amazing career opportunities available to girls in this exciting industry. It celebrates the outstanding achievements of women engineers throughout the world.

The theme of this year’s #INWED22 event is Inventors and Innovators. Profiling the best, brightest and bravest women in engineering, the investors and innovators who dare to be part of the solution and are helping to build towards a brighter future.

Our #RAPcommunity is made up of just over 20% females and we’re keen to encourage women to contribute to save lives around the world on our roads. This year you will see a few initiatives from iRAP that will benefit and encourage women to be part of our #RAPcommunity, including:

  • celebrating women making a difference in road safety, focussing on our successful #IWED2021 grant recipients.
  • selecting 30 women to take our Star Rating Essentials and Star Rating for Designs courses for free.

Watch out for this space and don’t miss this opportunity!

In the meantime, watch some videos below celebrating women in the road safety and see how we celebrated #IWED last year!
