iRAP partnerships with NACTO-GDCI, Vision Zero Sergek and the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety to produce animations and videos for UN Global Road Safety Week saw #Love30 messaging reach over 227,000 people online in 2 weeks.
Connecting offices in China, Australia, Kazakstan and the US, iRAP partnered with NACTO-GDCI and Vision Zero Sergek to produce 3 street scene animations and additional language releases of the iRAP Star Ratings of NACTO-GDCI’s Global Street Design Guide. The animations, which can be viewed here, promote how reduced speeds protect road users and enable healthy, more sustainable choices such as walking and cycling.
In addition, iRAP’s partnership with the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety, based in Denmark, saw the release of 10 videos from Iran, Zambia, Venezuela and Philippines that shared community voices calling for #StreetsforLife. The videos showcase members’ experiences in their communities and call for 30km/hr speed limits to reduce local road risk.
The animations and videos have been viewed more than 18,000 times.
iRAP’s reach through these truly global partnerships, to spread the important #StreetsforLife messaging this year, is up 300% on last UN Global Road Safety Week.
Our thanks to these 3 exceptional road safety organisations for working with us to promote the 6th UN Global Road Safety Week and enhance road safety through reduced speeds.
