iRAP and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have recently completed a 4-year project to scale up innovative road safety operations in 7 countries.
With impact in China, Fiji, Lao, Maldives, Mongolia, Pakistan and Vietnam, the project has involved the Star Rating assessment of 10,700km, nearly 450km of road designs and training of 25 road safety stakeholders.
The ADB’s long-term strategic framework acknowledges that to maintain and sustain growth in Asia and the Pacific, regional economies need greater innovation and inclusiveness. In ADB’s context, innovation is finding new ways for ADB to serve and address development challenges in its developing member countries.
