2024 has been a another pivotal year for iRAP’s training and accreditation program. We’ve continued our commitment to building capacity and empowering professionals worldwide to make roads safer.

Key Highlights:

  • Expanded Language Offerings: We’ve expanded our training offerings to include more languages, making our resources accessible to a wider global audience. For example, you can now participate in the new version of our Star Rating Essentials training course in Spanish, Portuguese, and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Innovative Online Courses: Our online courses have evolved to incorporate interactive elements and real-world case studies, enhancing the learning experience. Please refer to our most recent recorded live training sessions on Crash Risk Mapping and Quality Assurance listed below.
  • Regional Training Initiatives: We’ve collaborated with regional partners to deliver tailored training programs that address specific needs and challenges in different regions. This year, iRAP training was delivered face-to-face in countries including Malawi, Benin, Cambodia and Saudi Arabia. All courses were tailored to the specific road safety needs in each country, and included topics such as Star Rating for Schools, Road Assessment Process training, Crash Risk Mapping and Star Rating for Designs.
  • Accreditation activities: We’ve streamlined our accreditation processes to ensure that we maintain the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
  • Global Partnerships: We’ve forged new partnerships with organizations around the world to expand our reach and impact.

Most recently, we have just migrated our training platform to Moodle 4. This transition marks a strategic milestone in our ongoing journey to enhance the learning experience, building on the reliability of Moodle 3 with upgraded capabilities that support more intuitive, interactive, and effective training. With this shift, we are opening up new avenues for automating onboarding processes, making it easier for users to access and engage with training resources seamlessly.

We look forward to leveraging Moodle 4’s advanced tools and features to provide a more dynamic, efficient, and enjoyable learning environment for everyone.

Best regards,
