July 2019: iRAP’s Regional Director – The Americas Julio Urzua presented at the XI Road Engineering Seminar in Mexico last week (25 July), sharing iRAP Mexican Experience: a preventive measure to save lives from the last 10 years.

Vinicio Serment, General Director of Secretariat of Communications and Transport (SCT) Mexico, announced at the Mexican Association of Roadway Engineering Civil Association (AMIVTAC) event that the implementation of iRAP countermeasures is one of the priorities of the Mexican Government.

iRAP is proud to continue to contribute to saving lives on Mexican roads, and work with the Mexican Government towards 3 star or better roads. Vinicio Serment also presented during the plenary session – highlighting the Star Rating comparison between 2012 and 2015 on the Mexican Federal Network, using the iRAP methodology.

Earlier in the year, iRAP’s CEO Rob McInerney and Julio Urzua met with the Secretary of Communications and Transport of the Mexican Government, along with local authorities of the Technical Services Department to discuss the establishment of a local MexRAP programme. Read more here
