iRAP is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 Peter Kissinger Award, recognizing outstanding contributions from its dedicated staff. This year, Minh Vo has been named the deserving winner, with Helen Noble and Franco Azzato celebrated as runners-up for their exceptional commitment and impact.
The Peter Kissinger Memorial Award, presented annually since 2020, honours the late Peter Kissinger’s immense contributions to iRAP and global road safety. Peter was a road safety champion, a cherished colleague, and a friend to iRAP, serving as an iRAP Board Director from 2005 to 2019.
He was also the President and CEO of the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety from 2002 to 2016. Colleagues remembered Peter for his passion for safety, character, integrity, and for being an amazing boss, mentor, leader, innovator, and hero for the cause of road safety. He led by example, offered wise counsel, and was consistently positive and logically measured in his approach. This award celebrates iRAP staff members who most embody the iRAP values and spirit that Peter demonstrated every day.
The winners and runners-up are selected by Peter’s wife and beloved iRAP family member, Willie Kissinger. In choosing the recipients, Willie uses the iRAP values and looks for characteristics that reminded her of Peter. She has emphasized that Peter was incredibly proud of iRAP and the passion, support, and encouragement of its people.
