Greetings and welcome to the Training and Accreditation Newsletter! I am Franco Azzato, the Training and Accreditation Coordinator for iRAP since February 2022. As a Uruguayan and a strong advocate for Road Safety, I am excited to share with you the latest version of our newsletter.

Over the years, the iRAP methodology has been shared with nearly 60,000 people through various training and presentations worldwide. We are committed to continuing this effort not only to increase awareness of the tools but also to expand their usage globally, with the ultimate goal of creating safer journeys for all.

We are proud to report that our cohort of accredited practitioners has grown steadily since the accreditation programme’s inception, with over 240 accredited practitioners worldwide in 43 countries. These practitioners can help ensure the delivery of high-quality iRAP projects and support local capacity building. You may find one near you and they service multi-countries.

In addition, 19 companies have created systems that meet iRAP specifications, making survey and coding activities more efficient while enabling large amounts of data to be stored and managed. We are expanding our cohort of accredited suppliers every day and invite you to visit https://irap.org/accreditation/ to learn more about the currently accredited systems.

To keep up with the rapidly changing world and the way data is generated, stored, and utilized, we are supporting the AiRAP initiative, the Accelerated and Intelligent collection of RAP data. Three companies have gained AiRAP accreditation, and we are expecting more to come.

We are also refreshing some of our key training courses, such as Star Rating Essentials, which will soon be available in Spanish, Portuguese, and French, as well as English. Additionally, we plan to update our Star Rating for Designs training and develop new courses related to our other tools.

I hope you find this newsletter informative and enjoyable. Thank you for your support, and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Best regards,

Franco Azzato
