iRAP Star Rating for Schools‘ Coordinator Rafaela Machado has been selected to join the Youth Delegate Program of UNITE 2030 as one of 100 young global changemakers working to achieve the Global Goals by 2030.
100 delegates have been selected from 50 countries and the 3-month programme estimates 100,000 lives will be positively impacted around the world by the programme.
Youth delegates will attend a 14-week Leadership Development Course learning how to create change, influence others, and take action. Delegates will also have the chance to participate in the United Nations General Assembly, Global Goals Week and the Youth SDG Summit.
Unite 2030 believes in the power of young leaders to change the world by 2030. It aims to transform young leaders by exposing them to new possibilities, expanding their leadership skills as influencers in entrepreneurship, team-building and problem-solving, increasing their self-confidence and positioning them to be changemakers in their communities.
The award process for the ground-breaking programme was highly selective and involved a written application and interview.
On notification of her success, Rafaela said, “I look forward to learning from peers worldwide how to maximise the impact of our work and also to share our experience with the SR4S programme supporting an amazing network of lead partners. I am incredibly proud to represent iRAP and spread the word of #3starorbetter as part of the programme.”
The iRAP team is so proud of Rafaela and congratulate her on this significant selection!
