iRAP congratulates Anditi who has been awarded grant funding for their AiRAP project as part of an AUD$8.4 million Entrepreneurs’ Programme for Australian Innovators to bring revolutionary products to market.

Anditi is a key partner in iRAP’s AiRAP initiative, helping to utilise big data and machine learning for improved road safety data collection. Anditi is currently partnering on road safety data projects in Australia, Vietnam and Europe.

The $790,000 grant will support Anditi to bring their Road.ai road assessment and road safety star rating offering to the global market at scale and much faster than would have been otherwise possible.

The latest round of the Entrepreneurs’ Programme has provided $8.4 million in Accelerating Commercialisation grant funding to 12 Australian business innovators. The grant process is highly competitive, with each project undergoing an independent, merit based assessment for the chance to be awarded up to $1 million in matched funding. Businesses complete the program having commercialised their project, as well as gaining in-depth knowledge about the complexity of the commercialisation process to guide future ideas to market faster. Mentorship is provided to help achieve project objectives and access networks for important business connections to create opportunities, raise capital and enter new markets.

Since 2014, more than $259 million has been awarded through 531 grants of the programme.

Together with its road safety Star Ratings and fatality and serious injury estimation models, iRAP’s AiRAP initiative has the potential to put road safety data at the fingertips of road authorities, policy-makers, investors and road users worldwide. The accelerated and intelligent collection and coding of road attribute data aims to reduce the time and effort required to undertake road safety assessments, reduce the costs and improve accuracy.
