iRAP has a strategic focus to support global and national partners to eliminate high-risk roads in the regions – Africa, Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, the Middle East and North America. Our Safer Journeys Leads are working in close collaboration with partners to this end.
iRAP’s Regional Event Series comprises in-person conferences, workshops and online webinars focussed on the unique challenges and opportunities for each region to improve road infrastructure safety, policies and partnerships with the goal of halving road deaths and serious injuries by 2030.
In October, we were delighted to be support the Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP) and the Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS), in association with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), to organise the Africa Regional Road Safety Seminar (8-9 October) in Nairobi.
Over the two full days, the agenda will included leading topics in the current road safety conversation for Africa, and was designed to give participants a deeper understanding of effective, evidence-based interventions which can be applied towards achieving the goals of the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030 in the region.
iRAP hosted three sessions:
