Austroads Stereotype Star Ratings

The Austroads Stereotypes present iRAP Star Ratings and ANRAM FSIs for a range of typical cross-section and operating speed scenarios that may be present on the Australian road network.

They are currently focused on rural road networks and the needs of vehicle occupants only and support high-level network level road safety planning.

The stereotypes were developed by iRAP Centre of Excellence ARRB using the Star Rating Demonstrator and provide an indicative guide of what the Star Ratings for existing networks and designs may be based on a few key attributes and assumptions to create homogeneous sections. They are typically used as a network screening tool to identify high-priority sections for further investigation and upgrades.
