Description

Managing a global programme across 100+ countries is a challenging task! Thanks to the amazingly generous pro-bono support of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Provider Barhead, coupled with the recent technical support of NTT, tracking our global programme is becoming much easier. iRAP’s Programme Management System – iRAP Connect – is helping manage our individual and organisation champions, metrics, training and accreditation, projects, partnership agreements and advocacy and road upgrade activities.

What’s more, FedEx is helping us take the benefits to the world! Doing what they do so well – “connecting people and possibilities around the world” – FedEx is generously sponsoring the associated 5-Star Global Connections Initiative. The Initiative will leverage iRAP and its partners globally to maximise how iRAP Connect is used to connect, track and leverage RAP stakeholders and activities world-wide to save lives and serious injuries on 3-star or better roads. The company’s professionalism in serving 220 countries and territories that connect 99% of the world’s GDP; delivering more than 15 million shipments on average a day with over 180,000 motorized vehicles (in addition to more than 680 aircraft), being highly valued by customers and one of the top 100 best places to work are just some of the traits that will help make the Global Connections Initiative a success.

Status

The iRAP Global Connections Initiative, sponsored by FedEx, is a 3-year project running from 2019 to 2022. The initiative includes four phases:

  • Development of iRAP Connect, the global Partner Management System to store and track programme and partner success across more than 100 countries. Progressing well!
  • Development of a 5-Star Global Connections Strategy that utilises the system and its data wisdoms to connect people and resources for high impact local RAPs. Developing.
  • Using the new global system, piloting of the 5-Star Connections Strategy in India with a focus on supporting all of the government and industry partners across the country to celebrate and promote success. Commencing August 2020.
  • Development of a Celebrating Success Package that supports projects across India that achieve the UN Global Targets for 3-star and better roads as a framework for other countries to follow. 2020 – 2022

Partners

iRAP’s Partner Management System and the broader 5-Star Global Connections Initiative would not be possible without the generous financial and pro-bono support of FedEx, Barhead, NTT and Roadway Safety Foundation. Their incredible support is helping us achieve 5-star global programme management and, most importantly, our vision for a world free of high risk roads.
