iRAP has been supporting the Vision Zero Academy Course in Brazil since 2021, helping to train more than 1,000 participants in how to create safer roads and streets. 300 participants joined iRAP’s Road Infrastructure Session last week for the 2026 programme now underway.
The Vision Zero Academy Course aims to build awareness of Vision Zero and advance the mindset of professionals working across the land transport system in key concepts such as the Safe System Approach, shared responsibility among system designers, and the importance of data-driven decision-making and collaboration.
Designed for policymakers and representatives from transport departments, traffic enforcement, road operators, automotive companies, NGOs and other stakeholders. the programme is structured around six live sessions. These sessions highlight how Sweden and leading international organizations apply Vision Zero principles to improve road safety outcomes.
