On the sidelines of the 4th Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety, iRAP and Road Safety Action International (RSAI) had the privilege of hosting a high-level Mano River Union delegation meeting.

Delegates from Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Côte d’Ivoire gathered to discuss the establishment of a ManoRAP Project – a groundbreaking initiative to harmonize road safety assessments across the region using the proven iRAP methodology.

Expected benefits of the project include:

Unified Approach: Embracing a standardized road assessment framework tailored for the Mano River Union, ensuring consistency in safety audits and data-driven decision-making.

Regional Collaboration: Strengthening cross-border partnerships to address common road safety challenges and improve infrastructure along critical trans-regional corridors.

Commitment to Change: Positive in-principle agreement from all delegates, setting the stage for collaborative efforts towards funding and implementing the ManoRAP Project.
