The Ministry of Equipment and Housing, through its General Directorate of Bridges and Roads and the Regional Directorate of Sfax, recently launched a road safety inspection of the 11km ring road in Sfax in Tunisia.

The ring road serves is a major transit corridor for Greater Sfax, connecting many neighbourhoods. The inspection will include:

  • An iRAP assessment;
  • Crash data analysis;
  • A review of official crash reports; and a
  • Risk evaluation

iRAP Accredited Practitioner Ahmed Ksentini said, “The project aims to identify and propose reliable, effective, and cost-efficient technical solutions to improve safety for all road users. The findings will guide the necessary safety enhancement works on this critical route.

We look forward to contributing to the safety and sustainability of our infrastructure for all road users as road safety auditors.”
