Florianopolis, Brazil – Nineteen engineers from eight Brazilian companies are receiving iRAP accreditation training in Florianopolis over the next two weeks – the first training of this type to be offered in the country.
Participants from Certare, Dynatest, Comtacti, Projevias, Prodec, Consultoria, Metro Cubico, Engenheria and Imtraff are being trained by iRAP Senior Road Safety Engineer Morgan Fletcher.
The teams are learning how to carry out iRAP surveys and coding, and will receive formal accreditation on completiion. Next week, they will learn how to produce star ratings and safer road investment plans.
It is hoped similar sessions will follow.
Over 6,200 people have benefited from direct face-to-face iRAP training and seminars on safer road infrastructure, an additional 2,700 people trained in the last 12 months.
