At the recent FIA – Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile and FIA Foundation General Assemblies I had the opportunity to connect with other FIA Members in the mobility and motorsport clubs from around the world who are actively improving roadsafety.

Here’s just some of what FIA clubs and are delivering together:

SR4S safety assessments at more than 250 schools, with 100+ locations already improved through the FIA Safe and Sustainable Mobility Grants Programme
✅ iRAP-standard surveys covering 100,000+ km of roads.
✅ Crash risk mapping on strategic road networks to track and improve safety performance.
✅ Millions of people reached through advocacy for safer roads.
CycleRAP assessments on key bicycle networks.
✅ Capacity building through the FIA’s Safe Mobility 4 All and 4 Life initiative.

The week also marked the re-election of Mohammed Ben Sulayem as FIA President and his appointment as Chair of the FIA Foundation — setting the stage for exciting years ahead for road safety, sustainable mobility, and the future of transport.

And a very warm thank you to the Republic of Uzbekistan for welcoming us to your beautiful country and to the National Autosport & Karting Federation of Uzbekistan for hosting the events.
