Join us from 9–11 September at the Asia Pacific Road Safety Conference in Manila, for a critical and in-depth focus on “Strengthening and Diversifying Financing for Road Safety” in the region.

The Conference is being hosted by the Asia-Pacific Road Safety Observatory (APRSO), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Japan Fund for Prosperous and Resilient Asia and the Pacific, and the Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP), with co-organisers iRAP, FIA Foundation, Bridgestone and the Embassy of Sweden.

Over three days, this flagship event will reach a diverse body of stakeholders including key government ministries and national lead agencies, development banks, road policing agencies, research institutions, private sector organizations, and road safety NGOs.

Key topic areas to be explored include:

  • Developing stronger business cases for road safety funding, emphasizing the economic impacts of road crashes and the returns from evidence-based investments
  • Strengthening data and evidence to support funding and implementation
  • Establishing common platforms between transport, health, and finance to enhance road safety management and funding
  • Powered two-wheeler and vulnerable road user safety

iRAP is hosting four sessions in the program and we’d love you to join us!:

The conference will share collaborative strategies to improve funding mechanisms, ensuring they are aligned with broader national priorities. This approach aims to empower stakeholders to communicate and showcase how road safety is not just a necessary expense, but a strategic investment with far-reaching benefits for economies.

The conference will also feature a Ministerial Roundtable co-hosted with the United Nations Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Road Safety Mr Jean Todt, plenary presentations, panel discussions, parallel sessions and workshops, as well as the APRSO Annual General Meeting.

We hope to see you there!
