The International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP) is searching for a highly motivated and organized Project Manager to join our team (to be based in the UK). This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in our mission to create a world free of high-risk roads.

About the Role:

  • Start Date: January 1, 2025
  • Location: United Kingdom
  • Hours: Full time
  • Salary:  Commensurate with experience
  • Contract type: 3 Year fixed term with possibility of extension.

In this role, you will be responsible for the operational and administrative coordination of our European projects. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and achieve the desired outcomes. This includes:

  • Providing project leadership and acting as a focal point for stakeholders
  • Setting up and managing project structures
  • Monitoring project budgets and ensuring financial compliance
  • Preparing project reports and proposals
  • Liaising with internal and external partners.

Who We Are Looking For

  • University degree in a relevant field (engineering, business, project management, etc.)
  • Proven experience in leading and managing projects, including financial management, administration, and reporting
  • Experience managing multi-partner projects (EC or UKRI projects a plus)
  • Certification in Project Management a desirable qualification
  • Strong knowledge of EC and national transport policies related to road safety
  • Excellent written and spoken English; fluency in another language a bonus
  • Strong organizational skills, leadership, communication, and coordination abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience developing and monitoring policies and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Availability for travel.
