Samar Abouraad, iRAP Safer Journeys Specialist and Marko Sevrovic, Senior Road Safety Expert from the European Institute of Road Assessment will join the line up of road safety experts and leading authorities taking a deep dive into the latest best practice to inform “Future Roads: Innovate, Invest, Achieve Zero”.

The IRF Europe and Central Asia Regional Congress is the premier regional event for advancing regional mobility and infrastructure, offering rich knowledge exchange with the goal of achieving green, safe, smart, and sustainable roads and mobility systems.

The program will cover a spectrum of critical themes including next generation mobility and the advancement of transportation equity, the adoption of cutting-edge safety practices, infrastructure investments and innovative financing, strategic infrastructure and sustainable connectivity, technology and innovation towards Vision Zero including artificial intelligence in transportation systems and the implementation of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), sustainable and environmentally conscious roads, road asset management and the development of green and durable pavement technologies.

Don’t miss iRAP’s session at 11.00am on Thursday 26 September on “Planning and Delivery of Safer Roads and Streets in Western Balkans and Central Asia Countries” where we’ll share the latest data and iRAP partner activities helping to eliminate high-risk roads.

Dmitry Sambuk, Deputy Director General of the Eastern Alliance for Safe and Sustainable Transport (EASST) will also be presenting on the Alliance’s work  improving road safety in the region through its network of road safety NGOs.

The IRF Europe and Central Asia Regional Congress will attract design consultants and engineering professionals, highway and municipal agencies, transportation officials, transport research institutes,  academia, traffic technology and ITS specialists, construction contractors, and equipment manufacturers.
