Coordinated by EuroRAP with the participation of ANAS Spa, the SLAIN project allowed the analysis of over 20,000km of roads of the TENT network, including approximately 4,200 km in Italy.

Project SLAIN (Saving Lives by Assessing and Improving TEN-T Road Network Safety) was delivered in Croatia, Greece, Italy and Spain and ended in July 2021. The project was co-financed by the Connecting Europe Facility of the European Commission with co-funding from the European motor industry and other partners.
