The 6th stakeholder conference Danube Region Transport Day 2021, a joint event of the European Union Strategy for Danube Region PA1b coordinators and United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), will happen in a virtual format on Friday, 17 December 2021, between 9:30 and 16:00 CET.

This year the focus of the conference will be on:
• Financing transport in the next financial period 2021–2027,
• Transforming railways in the Danube macro-region,
• Cycling infrastructure gaining importance in times when individual transport is important for commuting and pleasure.

EuroRAP’s subsidiary from Slovenia and the lead partner of the transnational project SABRINA – Safer Bicycle Routes in Danube Area, the European Institute of Road Assessment – EuroRAP (EIRA – EuroRAP), will participate in the afternoon module on “The potential of bicycle routes in the Danube region: Safe cycling for commuting and pleasure”. Marko Sevrovic will present the experiences from the EuroVelo cycling infrastructure safety surveys in the Danube region.
