The First Annual Road Safety Conference hosted by the University of Nairobi on 14-15 October focussed on Providing Safer Streets for all Road Users and the iRAP methodology and importance of youth initiatives were presented by AfricaRAP Lead Racheal Nganwa and iRAP Board Member and Global Youth Coalition for Road Safety Project Manager Raquel Barrios.

Racheal showcased the Star Rating Demonstrator to illustrate the effect on safety Star Ratings when certain facilities are present or missing and to highlight the impact of speed. 

The online event was attended by 228 participants and included a one hour iRAP session introducing iRAP and the Star Rating Methodology.
