GOLD winner for web-based category – for the re-launch of the Boîte à outils pour la sécurité routière
The update to the Road Safety Toolkit was funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies under their Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS 2020-2025) and was undertaken by the Fonds mondial pour la sécurité routière de la Banque mondiale (FSRM), with support from the International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP). The review included peer review and a road safety stakeholders survey to identify how the Road Safety Toolkit could continue to reflect the latest evidence and research in engineering safety. Global road safety leaders including the Partenariat mondial pour la sécurité routière (GRSP), Towards Zero Foundation, Global NCAP, Eastern Alliance for Safe and Sustainable Transport (EASST) and technical advisors provided invaluable support for the review.
Congratulations to all partners involved in this redevelopment of the freely available toolkit!

BRONZE for International Women in Engineering Day Campaign
Recognising #EngineeringHeroes and iRAP training grants for 20 women in Engineering
In 2021, as part of the International Women in Engineering Day (Wednesday 23 June), we celebrated two initiatives from iRAP that would benefit and encourage women to be part of our #RAPcommunity, including:
- selecting 20 women to take our Star Rating Essentials and Star Rating for Designs courses for free. https://irap.org/2021/08/congratulations-to-all-our-successful-candidates-for-irap-women-in-engineering-training-grants/
We had an overwhelming response to this campaign. With 193 applicants, we awarded 31 grants in 2021 and will continue to offer this opportunity every year.
We are very grateful for the extraordinary support of the Fondation FIA pour rendre ces opportunités possibles.
