Os International Safety Media Awards foram oficialmente entregues no último dia da 14th World Conference on Injury Prevention and Segurança Promotion in Adelaide, South Australia in November 2022.

GOLD winner for web-based category – for the re-launch of the Kit de Ferramentas de Segurança Viária
Kit de Ferramentas de Segurança Viária (tooklit.irap.org)
Com base em décadas de pesquisa em segurança viária, o Kit de Ferramentas oferece um recurso completo de segurança viária para engenheiros, defensores da segurança viária, estudantes e formuladores de políticas, a fim de auxiliar no desenvolvimento de planos de segurança para pedestres, motociclistas, ciclistas, ocupantes de carros e veículos pesados e usuários de transporte público.
The update to the Road Safety Toolkit was funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies under their Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS 2020-2025) and was undertaken by the World Bank’s Global Road Safety Facility (GRSF), with support from the International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP). The review included peer review and a road safety stakeholders survey to identify how the Road Safety Toolkit could continue to reflect the latest evidence and research in engineering safety. Global road safety leaders including the Parceria Global para Segurança Viária, Towards Zero Foundation, Global NCAP, Aliança Oriental para Transportes Seguros e Sustentáveis (EASST) and technical advisors provided invaluable support for the review.

SILVER for web-based category – AVO Star Rating for Design Project Digital Story
Safety at heart of urban road design, Chile.
Os projetos da concessão Américo Vespucio Oriente I (AVO I) no Chile, um dos maiores projetos de infraestrutura da América Latina, foram avaliados utilizando a metodologia de classificação por estrelas iRAP antes de sua entrada em operação em 2022.
iRAP’s produced digital story took readers on a virtual journey through the tunnels, overpasses and multi-lane carriageways beneath and across Santiago to see how engineering safety at the design stage can save lives, money and time.

iRAP’s 2021 Digital Annual Report shared the activities and success of the charity and its 20,000 partners eliminating high-risk roads across the world during the year. The report aimed to provide a short, captivating image-rich summary of annual activities that took readers on a journey throughout the world and the communities we and our partners serve.

Recognising #EngineeringHeroes and iRAP training grants for 20 women in Engineering
Nossa comunidade #RAP é composta por pouco mais de 20% mulheres, e estamos empenhados em incentivar as mulheres a contribuírem para salvar vidas nas estradas de todo o mundo.
In 2021, as part of the International Women in Engineering Day (Wednesday 23 June), we celebrated two initiatives from iRAP that would benefit and encourage women to be part of our #RAPcommunity, including:
- celebrando mulheres fazendo a diferença na segurança viária como parte da campanha do Dia Internacional das Mulheres na Engenharia – https://irap.org/international-women-in-engineering-day-recognising-engineeringheroes-in-road-safety/

We had an overwhelming response to this campaign. With 193 applicants, we awarded 31 grants in 2021 and will continue to offer this opportunity every year.
