O Paving Conference and Expo is Latin America’s premier event for road and highway infrastructure and construction, and will be held from 22-24 September. Over 4,000 congress participants, 300 exhibitors and 20,000 Expo visitors are expected to attend from government, industry, highway concessionaires, academia, and civil society – all working to improve traffic safety and management, infrastructure resilience and sustainability.

O Rodovias 360° Panel, co-hosted by iRAP and VIAZ Consulting, will bring together public and private sector perspectives on the future of road infrastructure, mobility and safety.
Luiz Guilherme, BrazilRAP Lead and Planning and Research Director from the National Department of Transport and Infrastructure Brazil (DNIT) will share knowledge on pavement management and the pressure for performance in new concession contracts. With investment growth, concessionaires are required to evolve from a reactive maintenance model to an asset management system.
A key focus will be the role of AI, video analytics and smart infrastructure management in proactive road safety. Road safety has shifted from being a response to crashes to a data-driven prevention strategy. Júlio Urzua, Global Projects Director, iRAP, and Marko Sevrovic, Director and Senior Road Safety Engineer, EIRA, will share the European approach to proactive risk management on highways, bringing together four technological fronts that are redefining safety standards in transport infrastructure.
