Event Summary: 2nd BrazilRAP annual webinar

9 December 2021: For a second year in a row, BrazilRAP held an online event to discuss what has been achieved over the past year in road research, and the next strategies for implementation in 2022.

The event was attended by 183 representatives from government agencies, universities, engineering organisations and road concessions. Whilst the webinar specifically focused on Brazil outcomes, there were participants from 21 different countries in attendance, including Brazil, India, Portugal, Colombia, Uganda, Chile and Spain.

The event was opened by Marcello da Costa, the National Secretary for Infrastructure in Brazil, who said ‘iRAP is a priority for the Ministry and DNIT – Road concessions will continue incorporating iRAP as the road safety methodology. There will now be 5,600kms of concessions that will have used the iRAP methodology since the very beginning.’
