Mark Your Diary: ELABORATOR Final Conference

After three years of collaboration, experimentation and learning, designing urban mobility solutions for safer, more inclusive streets and climate-neutral cities across Europe, the ELABORATOR Project is getting ready for its Final Conference on 5 and 6 November 2026 in Athens and online.

Funded by the Horizon EU programme, iRAP is one of 38 partners involved the project using a holistic approach for planning, designing, implementing and deploying innovations and interventions for sustainable urban mobility. Examples include smart enforcement tools, space redesign and dynamic allocation, shared services, and integration of active and green modes of transportation.

The interventions have been demonstrated in six Lighthouse Cities of Milan (Italy), Copenhagen (Denmark), Helsinki (Finland), Issy-les-Moulineaux (France), Zaragoza (Spain) and Trikala (Greece); and six Follower Cities including Lund (Sweden), Liberec (Czech Republic), Velenje (Slovenia), Split (Croatia), Krusevac (Serbia) and Ioannina (Greece).

Each city has implemented one or more innovative interventions to improve urban mobility, with the aim of demonstrating how to implement the intervention and showcase their effectiveness to ten Observer Cities.

The final conference over two days will include:

  • Day 1 (5 November): Interactive workshops bringing together the twelve ELABORATOR Lighthouse and Follower cities and the ten Observer cities, to exchange experiences and discuss practical implementation of the project’s approaches.
  • Day 2 (6 November): Presentation of the main results and achievements, key lessons learned, and project outcomes.
