And that’s a wrap … ELABORATOR’s 1st Plenary in its Lighthouse city of Issy-les-Moulineaux! Our consortium of 38 partners came together on 31 January and 1 February for two days packed with fun co-creation activities and insightful discussions.
The event was filled with engaging moments and collaborative efforts, reiterating once again the project’s commitment towards designing sustainable urban mobility and fostering climate-neutral cities.
Several workshops were organised by different work package leads, allowing cities and technical partners to brainstorm together crucial aspects of the project: the topics were multifold, ranging from identifying expected impacts to defining the co-design of ELABORATOR’s co-creation toolkits, from reflecting on the project’s storytelling, to reviewing the interventions’ twinning, no stone was left unturned. Indeed, the exchange of perspectives and understanding of needs between Lighthouse and Follower cities was a central theme, allowing them to grow closer together as they gear up for their collaborative journey.
But that’s not all – partners also got to experience first-hand the host city’s planned mobility intervention to make their streets safer for vulnerable road users. The immersive experience provided valuable insights into the real-world impact of ELABORATOR’s pilots, inspiring fellow cities for their own interventions.
Les 3 ans ÉLABORATEUR Ce projet, impliquant 38 partenaires, adopte une approche holistique pour la planification, la conception, la mise en œuvre et le déploiement d'innovations et d'interventions en faveur de la mobilité urbaine durable. Celles-ci peuvent inclure des outils de contrôle intelligents, la refonte de l'espace et son allocation dynamique, les services partagés, ainsi que l'intégration des modes de transport actifs et écologiques.
Les interventions seront démontrées dans plusieurs villes européennes, à commencer par six ‘Lighthouse Cities’ : Milan (Italie), Copenhague (Danemark), Helsinki (Finlande), Issy-les-Moulineaux (France), Saragosse (Espagne) et Trikala (Grèce) ; et six ‘Follower Cities’ : Lund (Suède), Liberec (République tchèque), Velenje (Slovénie), Split (Croatie), Krusevac (Serbie) et Ioannina (Grèce). Chaque ville mettra en œuvre un ou plusieurs "interventions" innovantes pour améliorer la mobilité urbaine, dans le but de démontrer comment mettre en œuvre l'intervention et d'en présenter l'efficacité aux "Observer Cities".
