Arabic #RAPKnowledgeLive Session Unpacks the iRAP Star Rating Model v3.10

More than 100 road safety professionals from across the Middle East, North Africa and beyond joined a special Arabic-language #RAPKnowledgeLive session on 22 July to explore the new iRAP Star Rating Model v3.10 and what it means for road safety assessments, investment planning and safer roads for all road users.

The webinar was led by iRAP’s Global Safer Journeys Specialist Samar Abouraad, and included invited speaker Dr. Mohamed Hoseny, Principal Traffic & Road Safety Engineer, Euro Group Consultancy. It attracted strong engagement, with 40 audience questions submitted throughout the session.

The session started by introducing how an iRAP project is undertaken, and showing case studies of before and after iRAP assessment and remedial measures in KSA. Participants gained practical insights into the key updates introduced in Version 3.10, including enhanced modelling for pedestrians and cyclists, revised speed risk factors, updated Star Rating bands and new coding attributes designed to better reflect real-world road safety risks.
