Such an event could further support capacity building and coordinated action among stakeholders, reinforcing the country\u2019s commitment to improving road infrastructure safety.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop provided a valuable platform for partners to align on next steps and explore future opportunities for TanRAP\u2019s expansion and development, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in tackling the country\u2019s transport challenges.<\/p>\n<p>TanRAP launched in 2017 as a result of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gtkp.com\/ten-step-project-tanzania\">Ten Step Tanzania Project<\/a>, jointly funded by the United Nations Road Safety Fund (<a href=\"https:\/\/unece.org\/un-road-safety-fund\">UNRSF<\/a>) and the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukaiddirect.org\/\">UKAid<\/a>), through the Global Road Safety Facility (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.roadsafetyfacility.org\/\">GRSF<\/a>) of the World Bank. Under the guidance of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uneca.org\/\">UNECA<\/a>), the project was implemented by a consortium led by the International Road Federation (<a href=\"https:\/\/irfnet.ch\/\">IRF<\/a>) headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, and made up of iRAP, the World Road Association (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.piarc.org\/en\/\">PIARC<\/a>) and the Tanzania Roads Association (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tara.or.tz\/\">TARA<\/a>).
