It has covered routes across 9 countries with 11 Project Partners and 4 Associated Strategic Partners, running in the framework of Danube Transnational Programme (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.interreg-danube.eu\/approved-projects\/sabrina\">Interreg<\/a>) with co-funding by European Union Funds (ERDF, ENI). SABRINA has assessed 2,500km of long-distance, mostly EuroVelo, cycle paths, built a tool for their assessment, collaborated with cycling bodies across Europe and shared results in the new SCRT Toolkit.<\/p>\n<p>SCRT is based on three road safety and cycling route assessment methodologies (iRAP, <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/cyclerap\/\">CycleRAP<\/a> and ECS), as well as available research on the impact of infrastructure on cyclist\u2019s safety.<\/p>\n<p>The assessment modules provided by the tool are not a replacement for any of methodologies utilised within the SCRT. Rather, modules are intended to be used as a way to estimate safety results and a price for a given cycling route infrastructure layout without much previous knowledge of the aforementioned methodologies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"card-text\">By using the SCRT toolkit, you can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Browse all outputs from the SABRINA Project<\/li>\n<li>Access cycling safety factsheets\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Gain insight into safe and poor cycling infrastructure practices in the Danube region<\/li>\n<li>Select and learn about the safety levels of various cycling infrastructure<\/li>\n<li>Plan for new cycling routes and estimate their safety and price parameters<\/li>\n<li>Compare two cycling routes with regards to safety and price parameters<\/li>\n<li>Measure safety improvement potential as well as costs and benefits of your planned route<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The now finalising SABRINA Project has aimed to improve conditions for bicycle infrastructure safety in the Danube region by raising the capacities of all relevant national, regional and local stakeholders to build and improve bicycle infrastructure in a safe and sustainable way.
