Ele contribuiu para as discuss\u00f5es sobre a proposta de legisla\u00e7\u00e3o que tornaria obrigat\u00f3rio o fornecimento de coletes de airbag pelos empregadores a trabalhadores que utilizam motocicletas em seu trabalho di\u00e1rio, como entregadores e operadores de frotas.<\/p>\n<p>De acordo com <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telenoche.com.uy\/nacionales\/proyecto-plantea-uso-obligatorio-chalecos-airbag-motociclistas-uruguay-n5384522\">dados da Unidade Nacional de Seguran\u00e7a Rodovi\u00e1ria (UNASEV)<\/a>, os motociclistas representam 49 por cento dos mortos em acidentes de tr\u00e2nsito no Uruguai e 65 por cento das pessoas feridas.<\/p>\n<p>O Sr. Azzato fez uma apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o na C\u00e2mara dos Deputados em 22 de maio e forneceu uma explica\u00e7\u00e3o t\u00e9cnica detalhada sobre a funcionalidade e os benef\u00edcios de seguran\u00e7a dos sistemas de airbag para motocicletas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Citando a MAPFRE (2021), ele observou que 24% dos ferimentos fatais em acidentes de motocicleta afetam a regi\u00e3o tor\u00e1cica \u2013 e n\u00e3o a cabe\u00e7a. Embora os capacetes sejam indispens\u00e1veis, eles n\u00e3o oferecem prote\u00e7\u00e3o completa para o corpo.<\/li>\n<li>As motocicletas n\u00e3o t\u00eam sistemas de seguran\u00e7a passiva, como cintos de seguran\u00e7a ou airbags integrados e, como resultado, os motociclistas ficam muito mais vulner\u00e1veis \u00e0s for\u00e7as de impacto e \u00e0 transfer\u00eancia de energia em caso de colis\u00e3o.<\/li>\n<li>Os coletes de airbag reduzem as for\u00e7as de desacelera\u00e7\u00e3o sofridas por \u00e1reas cr\u00edticas do tronco durante uma colis\u00e3o. Ao desacelerar o impacto de forma mais progressiva, eles ajudam a minimizar o trauma no t\u00f3rax e nas costas. Os coletes de airbag tamb\u00e9m estabilizam a regi\u00e3o do pesco\u00e7o em coordena\u00e7\u00e3o com o capacete, ajudando a prevenir chicotadas cervicais.<\/li>\n<li>A implementa\u00e7\u00e3o de coletes de prote\u00e7\u00e3o pode produzir resultados imediatos. A tecnologia j\u00e1 est\u00e1 dispon\u00edvel e acess\u00edvel, mas a legisla\u00e7\u00e3o tamb\u00e9m deve exigir o cumprimento de padr\u00f5es certificados de seguran\u00e7a de produtos.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>O trabalho do Sr. Azzato no iRAP \u00e9 complementar, com as Classifica\u00e7\u00f5es por Estrelas do iRAP fornecendo uma medida objetiva do n\u00edvel de seguran\u00e7a &quot;incorporado&quot; \u00e0 infraestrutura vi\u00e1ria para motociclistas. Uma estrada de 1 estrela \u00e9 a menos segura, enquanto uma estrada de 5 estrelas \u00e9 a mais segura.
