{"id":6312,"date":"2026-03-17T14:33:36","date_gmt":"2026-03-17T03:33:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.temp.irap-dev.org\/advancing-road-safety-with-the-automobile-association-of-cambodia\/"},"modified":"2026-04-30T15:12:28","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T05:12:28","slug":"advancing-road-safety-with-the-automobile-association-of-cambodia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irap.org\/pt\/advancing-road-safety-with-the-automobile-association-of-cambodia\/","title":{"rendered":"Promovendo a seguran\u00e7a rodovi\u00e1ria com a Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Automobil\u00edstica do Camboja."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>iRAP Global Operations Manager Luke Rogers was in Cambodia last week and took the opportunity to meet with Diana Mony, General Manager of Automobile Association of Cambodia.<\/p>\n<p>They discussed all things road safety including iRAP partners&#8217; work in Cambodia, an iRAP project with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Star Rating for Schools assessments informing lifesaving policy and school zone upgrades, local and regional road safety campaigns, and opportunities for capacity building.<\/p>\n<p>Partner-led iRAP activity has already assessed 1,600 km of roads and designs, and 16 schools, influencing the safety of US$109 million of infrastructure investment in the country. A <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/pt\/2023\/09\/improving-road-safety-in-cambodia-project-kicks-off\/\">900km assessment<\/a> of the strategic road network was completed in 2024, funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).<\/p>\n<p>In 2025, a <a href=\"https:\/\/starratingforschools.org\/2025\/07\/government-of-cambodia-launches-working-group-on-safe-school-zones-interventions-with-support-from-key-sr4s-partners\/\">Working Group on Safe Schools Zones Interventions was launched<\/a>, including Cambodian Government stakeholders, UNICEF Cambodia, FIA Foundation, AIP Foundation, iRAP and Prudential Cambodia. AIP Foundation, in coordination with the Cambodia Ministry of Public Works and Transport, is working to improve the safety of school journeys and a national-level training on Star Rating for Schools and the Safe School Zone Guideline is in development.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/pt\/tag\/cambodia\/\">Read more recent iRAP in Cambodia news here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Building capacity for safer roads in the country is an important goal. 111 people have benefited from iRAP global\/on-line training, along with 183 people trained in events delivered locally.<\/p>\n<p>De acordo com\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/pt\/safety-insights-explorer\/\">Explorador de informa\u00e7\u00f5es de seguran\u00e7a do iRAP<\/a>, Atingir a Meta 4 da ONU, que prev\u00ea mais de 751.000.000 viagens em estradas com classifica\u00e7\u00e3o de 3 estrelas ou superior para todos os usu\u00e1rios no Camboja at\u00e9 2030, poder\u00e1 salvar cerca de 208.716 vidas ao longo dos 20 anos de dura\u00e7\u00e3o das obras de melhoria das estradas, com um benef\u00edcio econ\u00f4mico de US$ 1.900.000 \u2013 US$ 1.900.000 para cada US$ 1.900.000 investidos.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Cambodia-BCSR.jpg\" alt=\"Cambodia BcSR\" \/><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>iRAP Global Operations Manager Luke Rogers was in Cambodia last week and took the opportunity to meet with Diana Mony, General Manager of Automobile Association of Cambodia.
