iRAP CEO Greg Smith was pleased to join the 2025 F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA)<\/a> Asia Pacific Congress in Chiang Mai last week to advance safe, clean, green and fair mobility and motorsport in the region.<\/p>\n

Hosted from 8-10 October by the Royal Automobile Association of Thailand (RAAT)<\/a>, the theme of this year\u2019s Congress was \u2018<\/b>Innovate. Integrate. Accelerate: Driving a Sustainable Future for Mobility and Sport\u2019.<\/p>\n

With a programme designed to equip Member Clubs with new strategies and insights into evolving mobility and sporting trends, it included a focus on sustainable practices, affordable grassroot pathways, and the evolution of AI and its role in the FIA\u2019s sectors. Delegates explored regional road safety priorities and grassroots motor sport solutions, and workshops on AI for Club operations, sustainability, and strategic sport event planning offered Clubs hands-on tools and actionable knowledge.<\/p>\n

The event comes as motorsport and mobility innovation gathers pace across the region.<\/p>\n

iRAP<\/a> is a member of the FIA which brings together 245\u00a0member Mobility and Motorsport Organisations from 149\u00a0countries on five continents.<\/p>\n

In partnership with FIA member clubs around the world, iRAP is supporting 3-star or better safer streets, roads and highways for everyone, making use of the Avalia\u00e7\u00e3o por Estrelas para Escolas<\/a>, CycleRAP<\/a>, Star Rating and Risk Mapping<\/a> tools, and progressing the AiRAP <\/a>initiative in support of the Decade of Action on Road Safety.<\/p>\n

Speaking ahead of his visit to Thailand, FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem said, \u201cAsia and the Pacific are among the fastest growing areas of our Federation and the commitment shown by our Members here is driving real impact. From safer roads and sustainable transport to new opportunities for grassroots and elite competition.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis gathering is an important opportunity to strengthen collaboration across the region, share expertise in mobility and motorsport, and advance our shared priorities of safety, sustainability and innovation.\u201d<\/p>\n
