{"id":56452,"date":"2022-07-07T23:42:35","date_gmt":"2022-07-07T22:42:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/irap.org\/?p=56452"},"modified":"2022-07-08T07:42:55","modified_gmt":"2022-07-08T06:42:55","slug":"eurorap-projects-on-show-at-connectingeurope-days","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irap.org\/pt\/2022\/07\/eurorap-projects-on-show-at-connectingeurope-days\/","title":{"rendered":"Projetos EuroRAP em exposi\u00e7\u00e3o no ConnectingEurope Days"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[et_pb_section fb_built=&#8221;1&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;3.22&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_row _builder_version=&#8221;3.25&#8243; background_size=&#8221;initial&#8221; background_position=&#8221;top_left&#8221; background_repeat=&#8221;repeat&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;3.25&#8243; custom_padding=&#8221;|||&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; custom_padding__hover=&#8221;|||&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.12.1&#8243; background_size=&#8221;initial&#8221; background_position=&#8221;top_left&#8221; background_repeat=&#8221;repeat&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Four transformative and transnational <a href=\"https:\/\/eurorap.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EuroRAP<\/a> projects were on show last week at the <a href=\"https:\/\/transport.ec.europa.eu\/connectingeuropedays_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ConnectingEurope Days<\/a> held in Lyon, France from 28-30 June.<\/p>\n<p>ConnectingEurope Days \u00a0\u2013 formerly known as TEN-T Days \u2013 is Europe\u2019s mobility flagship event, bringing together politicians, industry representatives and the European Commission to discuss transport and mobility, and their role in achieving the ambitious goals set out in the <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/strategy\/priorities-2019-2024\/european-green-deal_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European Green Deal<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/transport.ec.europa.eu\/transport-themes\/mobility-strategy_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s event attracted more than 2,000 participants from 44 countries and saw the signing of 3 regional agreements and <a href=\"https:\/\/transport.ec.europa.eu\/news\/eu-invests-eu54-billion-sustainable-safe-and-efficient-transport-infrastructure-2022-06-29_en\">\u20ac5.4bn dedicated to 135 projects<\/a> in sustainable and safe transport infrastructure by the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF).<\/p>\n<p>State-of-the art innovations were on show in <a href=\"https:\/\/transport.ec.europa.eu\/document\/download\/b73ffcb2-7260-4ad0-87ec-4e3198f3f010_en?filename=CEDcatalogue_FINAL.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">100 exhibits<\/a> of\u00a0 EU-funded projects and demonstrations of alternative mobility vehicles and automated transport.<\/p>\n<p>Four EuroRAP projects led by the European Institute of Road Assessment (EIRA) were showcased:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/eurorap.org\/sabrina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Project SABRINA<\/a> focuses on road infrastructure safety for cyclists as one of the most vulnerable road users. It tackles cycling infrastructure safety issues on existing, planned, and missing cycling corridors crossing 9 countries in the Danube region. The goal is to improve conditions for road bicycle infrastructure safety in the region by raising the capacities of all relevant national, regional, and local stakeholders to build and improve bicycle infrastructure in a safe and sustainable way.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/eurorap.org\/radar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Project RADAR<\/a> implemented learning and transnational cooperation activities to help the relevant organisations in 12 countries of the Danube area to identify risk on their road networks and help them reduce risk systematically by improving road infrastructure and roads layout.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/eurorap.org\/slain-project\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Project SLAIN<\/a> fit in the European Commission\u2019s 2010 Communication \u2018Towards a European Road Safety Area\u2019 and aimed to contribute to the long-term goal of zero road deaths in 2050. It was a transnational project across 4 European countries aiming to extend the skills and knowledge base of partners in performing network-wide road assessments.<\/li>\n<li>Project PHOEBE will develop an integrated, dynamic and scalable human-centred predictive safety assessment framework for all road user types. It brings together traffic simulation, road safety assessment, human behaviour, mode shift and induced demand modelling and new and emerging mobility data. PHOEBE\u2019s ambition is to deliver results that will support the UN Global Road Safety Performance Targets and help urban stakeholders set policy, regulation, and consumer awareness initiatives that guide evidence-based investment to reduce road trauma in urban areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=&#8221;https:\/\/irap.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Marko-on-stage.jpg&#8221; title_text=&#8221;Marko on stage&#8221; align=&#8221;center&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.12.1&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.12.1&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">\u201cIf we want to improve decarbonization, we need to improve cycling <\/span><span class=\"r-18u37iz\">road safety<\/span><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">.
