{"id":5046,"date":"2024-10-17T22:46:22","date_gmt":"2024-10-17T11:46:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.temp.irap-dev.org\/shaanxi-mountain-road-safety-project-wins-irf-global-award\/"},"modified":"2026-05-05T11:25:28","modified_gmt":"2026-05-05T01:25:28","slug":"shaanxi-mountain-road-safety-project-wins-irf-global-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irap.org\/pt\/shaanxi-mountain-road-safety-project-wins-irf-global-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Shaanxi Mountain Road Safety Project wins IRF Global Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Cr\u00e9dito da imagem: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/international-road-federation\/albums\/72177720321308429\/\">International Road Federation<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adb.org\/\">Banco Asi\u00e1tico de Desenvolvimento (ADB)<\/a>, Shaanxi Provincial Transport Department, o <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/pt\/\">Programa Internacional de Avalia\u00e7\u00e3o Rodovi\u00e1ria (iRAP)<\/a>, and the China Road Assessment Program (ChinaRAP) at the Research Institute of Highway (RIOH) are honoured to announce the life-saving Shaanxi Mountain Road Safety Demonstration Project has received a prestigious International Road Federation (IRF) global award.<\/p>\n<p>Presented yesterday in Istanbul, the project was awarded IRF\u2019s Rural Roads and Mobility Award, recognising its significant contribution to road safety in the mountainous province and impressive collaboration among government agencies, private enterprises, and civil society in achieving sustainable road development.<\/p>\n<p>O Projeto de Demonstra\u00e7\u00e3o de Seguran\u00e7a Rodovi\u00e1ria nas Montanhas de Shaanxi alcan\u00e7ou resultados not\u00e1veis em mat\u00e9ria de seguran\u00e7a rodovi\u00e1ria, com melhorias na infraestrutura em 850 km de rodovias e estradas rurais, resultando em uma redu\u00e7\u00e3o de 331 mortes e 531 feridos, o que representa uma estimativa de 32 vidas salvas e 868 feridos a menos por ano.<\/p>\n<p>A porcentagem das estradas avaliadas que atendem ao padr\u00e3o global de seguran\u00e7a de 3 estrelas ou mais aumentou em 52%.<\/p>\n<p>As melhorias na infraestrutura inclu\u00edram o realinhamento de estradas, extensas medidas de prote\u00e7\u00e3o contra quedas de rochas e estabilidade de taludes, a adi\u00e7\u00e3o de acostamentos pavimentados, barreiras de seguran\u00e7a, redu\u00e7\u00e3o de limites de velocidade, medidas de modera\u00e7\u00e3o de tr\u00e1fego e travessias de pedestres.<\/p>\n<p>Adicionalmente, mais de 200 profissionais participaram do treinamento em gest\u00e3o e projeto de seguran\u00e7a vi\u00e1ria, enquanto 2.400 membros da comunidade participaram de atividades de educa\u00e7\u00e3o para a seguran\u00e7a.<\/p>\n<p>Rebecca Stapleton, Senior Transport Specialist at the ADB said, \u201cWe are delighted to see the project recognised with an IRF Award today.\u00a0 The Shaanxi Provincial Government requested ADB financing support to upgrade trunk and rural roads to improve road safety, increase access and reduce poverty. We\u2019re really proud of the significant safety impact it has had for the local communities in Shaanxi and the replicable model it sets for other provinces and countries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Greg Smith, Diretor Global de Programas do iRAP, observou: \u201cUm recurso fundamental do projeto Shaanxi \u00e9 seu foco principal na seguran\u00e7a como parte deste investimento em infraestrutura de grande escala.
