{"id":4823,"date":"2024-06-21T02:57:33","date_gmt":"2024-06-20T16:57:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.temp.irap-dev.org\/phoebe-brussels-meeting-shares-progress-with-eu-commission\/"},"modified":"2024-06-21T02:57:33","modified_gmt":"2024-06-20T16:57:33","slug":"phoebe-brussels-meeting-shares-progress-with-eu-commission","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irap.org\/pt\/phoebe-brussels-meeting-shares-progress-with-eu-commission\/","title":{"rendered":"PHOEBE Reuni\u00e3o Bruxelas compartilha progresso com a Comiss\u00e3o Europeia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The PHOEBE Consortium met in Brussels last week to advance project plans and update the European Commission during a two-day exchange of 11 sector-leading partners.<\/p>\n<p>The EU-funded \u2018Predictive Approaches for Safer Urban Environment\u2019 (PHOEBE) Project aims to increase the road safety of vulnerable road users, especially those who use active mobility and e-scooters.<\/p>\n<p>It is building on the strengths of both iRAP\u2019s road safety assessment tools and AIMSUN\u2019s simulation and Artificial Intelligence for future mobility tools to deliver harmonised, integrated and world-leading safety prediction tools that take account of gender, age and ability levels in providing for future mobility.<\/p>\n<p>Three fruitful days, from 11-13 June, helped to advance the pilot planning, integration of models and last details concerning the PHOEBE framework.<\/p>\n<p>Two technical workshops focussed on the integration of additional safety measures into the <a href=\"https:\/\/phoebe-project.eu\/phoebe-plan\/\">PHOEBE framework<\/a>, the further alignment of data between\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aimsun.com\/\">AIMSUN<\/a>\u00a0e\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/pt\/\">iRAP<\/a>, and the overall implementation strategy for the upcoming months.<\/p>\n<p>The three pilot sites of Athens, Valencia and the West Midlands gave detailed updates on the planned interventions, data gathering efforts, and the status of cooperation with local stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>The consortium will meet again from 3-5 December in Valencia to visit the streets and cycling paths utilised for the safety assessment.
