This valuable training equips you with the skills to design safer roads and save lives worldwide.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hear from a Past Recipient<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u2018We have been a part of the transportation system historically dependent on males, we now belong to the decision-makers, the designers, and the agents of change, let&#8217;s make the transportation system inclusive to all, women, children, the elderly, and the disabled.\u2019 \u2013 <\/em><em>Nuria Jasira Diaz Vale (Peru) <\/em><em>Successful Grant recipient from 2021 <\/em><\/p>\n<p>We will be sharing more stories and experiences from past recipients and our iRAP team over the next few months.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who is Eligible?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Women with a background in road-related planning, design, or engineering<\/li>\n<li>Have not previously taken the Star Rating Essentials and Star Rating for Designs courses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Selection Process<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll select grant recipients based on their answers to the following questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Why are you interested in learning more about iRAP&#8217;s methodology?<\/li>\n<li>How will you use the knowledge and skills gained from these courses?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Important Dates<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applications Open: Monday May 27 2024<\/li>\n<li>Applications Close: Monday July 8 2024 (COB)<\/li>\n<li>Grant Recipients Announced: Wednesday July 31 2024<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Have Questions?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Contact iRAP&#8217;s Training and Accreditation Coordinator, Franco Azzato, at email franco.azzato@irap.org<\/p>\n<p><strong>Let&#8217;s build safer roads together! Applications will open next month!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>*Terms and Conditions*<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Please read the following Terms and Conditions.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The iRAP women in engineering grants applicant understands and agrees to the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>iRAP will select 30 women to have access to the Star Rating Essentials and Star Rating for Designs courses for free.<\/li>\n<li>The selected women will:\n<ul>\n<li>Have a background in engineering.<\/li>\n<li>Justify a good use of the acquired knowledge.<\/li>\n<li>Are not a beneficiary from other iRAP projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>This application is subject to iRAP selection procedures.<\/li>\n<li>iRAP reserves the right to refuse the application.<\/li>\n<li>Completion of the application process does not guarantee approval of the application.<\/li>\n<li>If selected for the grants, the applicant agrees to undertake the course activities and submit the assignments to complete the courses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If selected for the grants, the applicant agrees to the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enrol within 3 months of being selected to attend Star Rating Essentials and Star Rating for Designs courses for free.<\/li>\n<li>Complete both courses within 6 months from enrolment date to receive free accreditation (subject to successfully completed the assignments) and free first renewal in 2025.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>iRAP may suspend or revoke the Grants at any time at its discretion.<\/li>\n<li>The applicant agrees with iRAP to use the content of its application to promote the Grants programme.<\/li>\n<li>If selected for the grants, the applicant agrees to report six-monthly to iRAP on how she is using the iRAP methodology to improve the roads in his or her country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a class=\"et-button\" href=\"https:\/\/app.smartsheet.com\/b\/form\/659007d566ca4accbaf0f057f23fe634\">Apply for the International Women in Engineering Day grants here<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"et-button\" href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/pt\/training-grants-for-women-in-engineering\/\">See past grant recipient&#039;s here <\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This International Women in Engineering Day (Sunday, June 23rd), we&#8217;re celebrating early by offering training grants to 30 female engineers opening next month!
