It covers routes across Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Moldova, Slovakia and Slovenia with 11 Project Partners and four Associated Strategic Partners.<\/p>\n<p>The project runs in the framework of Danube Transnational Programme (Interreg) and is co-funded by European Union Funds (ERDF, ENI).<\/p>\n<p>The report outlines cycling safety issues identified in the project, evidence-based best practice and the essential elements of safe cycling infrastructure, and practical recommendations for implementation.<\/p>\n<p>The content was collected and collated by all SABRINA partners and comprises evidence from practitioners in the Danube region and beyond, as well as from scientific literature and previous EU research projects (INTER-REG and Horizon programmes).<\/p>\n<p>The report facilitates learning at three levels:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cycling development and improvement strategies and policies at national, regional and\u00a0local levels &#8211; from, but not limited to, countries within the geographic scope of the project<\/li>\n<li>Planning principles for safe cycling infrastructure in regional and local bicycle networks, guidelines and issues<\/li>\n<li>Examples of safe cycling infrastructure<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Download the report <a href=\"https:\/\/www.interreg-danube.eu\/uploads\/media\/approved_project_output\/0001\/53\/bfedf3a9e303c700aa37a51f2061846f656c821b.pdf\">HERE<\/a> and 30 Factsheets on Cycling Infrastructure Risks, Solutions and Positive Effects <a href=\"https:\/\/www.interreg-danube.eu\/uploads\/media\/approved_project_output\/0001\/50\/f6fe28748119939b7b00e81bf2493eed4b08e79c.pdf\">HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Stay abreast of SABRINA news and all project outputs <a href=\"https:\/\/www.interreg-danube.eu\/approved-projects\/sabrina\">HERE<\/a>.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The SABRINA Best Practices in Cycling Infrastructure Report has been released sharing strategies, planning, implementation, maintenance and assessment results for nine Danube countries in Europe.
