Um relat\u00f3rio, divulgado hoje pela Road Safety Foundation e Ageas Insurance, afirma que a pandemia apresentou uma chance \u00fanica de remodelar os padr\u00f5es de viagem e apoiar escolhas de transporte mais saud\u00e1veis, o que, por sua vez, reduzir\u00e1 o n\u00famero de v\u00edtimas e ajudar\u00e1 a atingir metas de sa\u00fade, exerc\u00edcios, zero emiss\u00f5es l\u00edquidas de carbono e qualidade do ar.<\/p>\n<p><em>Construindo de Volta de Forma Mais Segura: Tornando as estradas adequadas para 2030 <\/em>indica que uma rede rodovi\u00e1ria mais segura est\u00e1 fundamentalmente alinhada com os objetivos declarados do governo: investimento em infraestrutura, habilidades e inova\u00e7\u00e3o; e nivelamento de cada parte da Gr\u00e3-Bretanha. O relat\u00f3rio destaca dez por cento das autoestradas e estradas \u201cA\u201d que s\u00e3o prioridades claras para investimento.<\/p>\n<p>O \"Building back safer\" (Construir de volta mais seguro) defende uma infraestrutura rodovi\u00e1ria mais segura que inclua instala\u00e7\u00f5es para viagens ativas \u2013 projetos que geram altas taxas de retorno e apoiam a redu\u00e7\u00e3o de v\u00edtimas e a lideran\u00e7a global da Gr\u00e3-Bretanha no campo da seguran\u00e7a rodovi\u00e1ria.<\/p>\n<p>O relat\u00f3rio aponta para a perda social atribu\u00edda aos acidentes rodovi\u00e1rios a cada ano (33 bilh\u00f5es de libras em 2019). Em 2019, cerca de 1,7 bilh\u00e3o de libras foi desviado de outras partes do or\u00e7amento de sa\u00fade; essa soma equivale a cerca de 11.000 ambul\u00e2ncias com tripula\u00e7\u00e3o dupla, 61.000 enfermeiros juniores ou 2.400 leitos de terapia intensiva n\u00edvel 3.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>Reconstruindo com Mais Seguran\u00e7a<\/em> resume os n\u00edveis de investimento necess\u00e1rios para abordar o 10% de cada rede vi\u00e1ria (estradas estrat\u00e9gicas e locais na Inglaterra, Esc\u00f3cia e Pa\u00eds de Gales) com potencial para evitar o maior n\u00famero de mortes e ferimentos graves por cada \u00a31 gasto ao longo de um per\u00edodo de 20 anos. Ele tamb\u00e9m mostra os 10% das estradas administradas pelas autoridades locais inglesas \u2014 por regi\u00e3o \u2014 que ofereceriam os melhores retornos, de modo que o investimento seja <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Existem 26 rotas que melhoraram significativamente do primeiro per\u00edodo de dados (2014-2016) para o seguinte (2017-2019) \u2013 um comprimento de estrada de quase 500 quil\u00f4metros. No per\u00edodo anterior de tr\u00eas anos, as dez rotas com a maior melhoria apresentavam um risco quase tr\u00eas vezes maior do que no per\u00edodo posterior de tr\u00eas anos. O n\u00famero de acidentes fatais e graves nessas rotas caiu em dois ter\u00e7os, de 557 para 187. O valor anual dos acidentes evitados foi superior a 50 milh\u00f5es de libras, ou mais de 110.000 libras por quil\u00f4metro de extens\u00e3o rodovi\u00e1ria, com um Valor Presente L\u00edquido de quase 800 milh\u00f5es de libras ao longo de 20 anos.<\/p>\n<p>As melhorias consistem em uma s\u00e9rie de medidas: sinaliza\u00e7\u00e3o horizontal e melhor planejamento dos cruzamentos; a introdu\u00e7\u00e3o de limites de velocidade mais baixos em pontos de maior risco; e melhores infraestruturas para pedestres e ciclistas. Por exemplo, placas de alta visibilidade acionadas por ve\u00edculos na aproxima\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 Barford Corner, perto de Barnard Castle, contribu\u00edram para uma redu\u00e7\u00e3o de 85% nos acidentes fatais e graves nessa parte da A688.<\/p>\n<p>Os dados do relat\u00f3rio foram utilizados para atualizar o \u2018Mapa de Estradas Perigosas\u2019 interativo\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/dangerousroads.ageas.co.uk\/\">https:\/\/dangerousroads.ageas.co.uk\/<\/a>\u00a0 Isso revela as rodovias e estradas \u2018A\u2019 mais perigosas da Gr\u00e3-Bretanha.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Na introdu\u00e7\u00e3o do relat\u00f3rio, Lord Whitty, Presidente da Road Safety Foundation, diz: \u201cTemos pela frente uma oportunidade \u00fanica de reformular a forma como nos movemos \u2013 planejar uma mobilidade mais saud\u00e1vel \u2013 redefinindo nossos bairros para apoiar viagens ativas mais seguras.
