Na quinta-feira, 17 de junho, mais de 50 delegados de toda a Europa se reuniram para discutir os \u00faltimos acontecimentos e trocar opini\u00f5es sobre temas como inova\u00e7\u00e3o, protocolos RAP, defesa de direitos e projetos. Tivemos a honra de receber Jean Todt, Enviado Especial da ONU para a Seguran\u00e7a Rodovi\u00e1ria e presidente da FIA, para um discurso inspirador, no qual ele destacou a import\u00e2ncia de uma infraestrutura rodovi\u00e1ria segura.<\/p>\n<p>Ferry Smith, Presidente do Conselho da EuroRAP, dirigiu-se aos participantes, relembrando diversas mudan\u00e7as na equipe da EuroRAP, com uma nova era de membros apoiando uns aos outros. Ele apresentou o novo Comit\u00ea de Gest\u00e3o, composto por Suzy Charman (Road Safety Foundation), Olivera Rozi (EIRA), Shona Holroyd (iRAP) e Marianne Dwarshuis (ANWB). O presidente tamb\u00e9m deu as boas-vindas a Suzy Charman e Christian Bardaji (RACC) ao Conselho da EuroRAP.<\/p>\n<p>Ferry Smith fez uma retrospectiva do ano passado, que marcou o in\u00edcio da segunda D\u00e9cada de A\u00e7\u00e3o das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas para a Seguran\u00e7a Rodovi\u00e1ria (2021-2030). Devido \u00e0 COVID-19, lockdowns foram implementados em toda a Europa e, consequentemente, houve cerca de 3.900 mortes a menos no tr\u00e2nsito na Uni\u00e3o Europeia em 2020 em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com o ano anterior. Muito provavelmente, essa redu\u00e7\u00e3o se deve \u00e0s restri\u00e7\u00f5es de viagem impostas pela COVID-19, embora seja importante notar que a redu\u00e7\u00e3o no n\u00famero de mortes n\u00e3o acompanhou a redu\u00e7\u00e3o do tr\u00e1fego. Em alguns pa\u00edses, os acidentes foram mais graves e o n\u00famero de feridos graves aumentou. \u00c0 medida que os padr\u00f5es de mobilidade mudam, torna-se ainda mais importante fornecer estradas mais seguras, principalmente aquelas que podem incentivar a mobilidade ativa.<\/p>\n<p>Por fim, o Presidente elogiou o grande n\u00famero de Programas Nacionais j\u00e1 em vigor.
