Um total de 10.042 acidentes rodovi\u00e1rios foram registrados em Bengala Ocidental em 2018. A gravidade dos acidentes foi de 53,9%, em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com a m\u00e9dia nacional de 32,4%. Quase um quarto dos acidentes ocorreu em rodovias estaduais.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">O Departamento de Obras P\u00fablicas (<a href=\"http:\/\/wbpwd.gov.in\/\">Pessoas com defici\u00eancia<\/a>O Departamento de Obras P\u00fablicas (PWD) do Governo de Bengala Ocidental \u00e9 respons\u00e1vel pelo desenvolvimento, manuten\u00e7\u00e3o e opera\u00e7\u00e3o da maior parte da malha rodovi\u00e1ria do estado. Para garantir viagens seguras e o tratamento de locais de alto risco, o PWD contrata especialistas em seguran\u00e7a vi\u00e1ria para realizar auditorias de seguran\u00e7a na rede. Em colabora\u00e7\u00e3o com o governo, o PWD mant\u00e9m um acordo com diversas entidades. <a href=\"http:\/\/iitkgp.ac.in\/\">Instituto Indiano de Tecnologia de Kharagpur<\/a> (IITKGP) para avaliar as cinco rodovias.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A IndiaRAP apoiou o projeto, treinando a equipe do IIT Kharagpur para realizar levantamentos rodovi\u00e1rios, codifica\u00e7\u00e3o e processamento de dados para o seu cliente, o Departamento de Obras P\u00fablicas de Bengala Ocidental. A IndiaRAP tamb\u00e9m forneceu an\u00e1lises de qualidade e relat\u00f3rios sobre o trabalho conclu\u00eddo pelo IIT.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/West-Bengal-training-2.png\" alt=\"West Bengal training 2\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Uma equipe de pesquisadores e alunos do IIT KGP recebeu treinamento da IndiaRAP.<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Os resultados da Classifica\u00e7\u00e3o de Refer\u00eancia por Estrelas demonstram o potencial para melhorar a seguran\u00e7a da infraestrutura vi\u00e1ria para todos os usu\u00e1rios, especialmente os mais vulner\u00e1veis. A Classifica\u00e7\u00e3o por Estrelas indica que, para pedestres, 61.080 metros da rede receberam classifica\u00e7\u00e3o de 3 estrelas ou superior; para ciclistas, 171.080 metros; e para motociclistas, 381.080 metros. Para ocupantes de ve\u00edculos, 561.080 metros da extens\u00e3o da via receberam classifica\u00e7\u00e3o de 3 estrelas ou superior.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/West-Bengal-Star-Rating1-Ped.png\" alt=\"West-Bengal-Star-Rating1-Ped\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Foram identificadas contramedidas de seguran\u00e7a com boa rela\u00e7\u00e3o custo-benef\u00edcio para melhorar as classifica\u00e7\u00f5es por estrelas para todos os grupos de usu\u00e1rios das rodovias.
