{"id":2319,"date":"2020-11-24T04:58:14","date_gmt":"2020-11-23T17:58:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.temp.irap-dev.org\/thai-drr-wins-irf-2020-global-achievement-award\/"},"modified":"2026-05-05T11:30:38","modified_gmt":"2026-05-05T01:30:38","slug":"thai-drr-wins-irf-2020-global-achievement-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irap.org\/pt\/thai-drr-wins-irf-2020-global-achievement-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Departamento de Estradas Rurais da Tail\u00e2ndia vence o Pr\u00eamio IRF 2020 de Realiza\u00e7\u00e3o Global"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>O Departamento de Estradas Rurais da Tail\u00e2ndia (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mot.go.th\/about.html?dsfm_lang=EN&amp;id=11\">DRR<\/a>) has been awarded the International Road Federation (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.irf.global\/graa\/\">RIF<\/a>) Pr\u00eamio Global de Excel\u00eancia na Categoria Seguran\u00e7a por seu Sistema Integrado de Gest\u00e3o de Seguran\u00e7a Rodovi\u00e1ria.<\/p>\n<p>DRR\u2019s iRAP-endorsed Road Safety Audit System (RSAS) has analysed the risk scores for over 48,000km of rural road segments based on the iRAP Star Rating methodology.<\/p>\n<p>See the award video below or <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/j2JXEdQqAFs\">aqui<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>DRR adopted Road Safety Audit as a proactive measure, coupled with Road Accident Investigation as a reactive measure to enhance the safety on rural road networks in Thailand.<\/p>\n<p>Their programme has had several key stages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Capacity building across the DRR community with the development of a road safety manual and training programme.<\/li>\n<li>Development of an integrated road safety management system:<br \/>a. The Rural Road Network Management System (RM) is a web-based information system that provides rural road asset data. It can be used to conduct desktop road safety audit before visiting the site.<br \/>b. RSAS is a computerized system that can analyse the risk scores for rural road segments based on the iRAP Star Rating method.<\/li>\n<li>Crash tracking in the Road Accident Investigation Dashboard which allows for searching and monitoring of crash data on the rural road network.<\/li>\n<li>The execution and evaluation of road safety improvement projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The programme has achieved:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For the proactive measure, the total of 1,309 risk spots treated achieving a 75 per cent reduction in crashes and 52 per cent reduction in fatalities.<\/li>\n<li>For the reactive measure, the results showed a 91 per cent reduction in crashes and 90 per cent reduction in fatalities.<\/li>\n<li>The estimated benefits from lives saved using both proactive and reactive measures is 62 lives saved and an economic saving of USD$130 million \u2013 a benefit equal to 20 times the improvement investment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>O Sistema de Auditoria de Seguran\u00e7a Vi\u00e1ria do DRR \u00e9 suportado sob o <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/pt\/innovation\/\">Estrutura de Inova\u00e7\u00e3o iRAP<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>O Ministro dos Transportes da Tail\u00e2ndia, Saksayam Chidchob, disse sobre o pr\u00eamio: \u201cA inova\u00e7\u00e3o tecnol\u00f3gica \u00e9 essencial para superar os problemas de seguran\u00e7a rodovi\u00e1ria sob recursos limitados e solu\u00e7\u00f5es inadequadas. Acredita-se que o caminho da Vis\u00e3o Zero \u00e9 poss\u00edvel, mas exigir\u00e1 uma clara mudan\u00e7a na filosofia de seguran\u00e7a rodovi\u00e1ria e avan\u00e7o tecnol\u00f3gico.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pr\u00eamios de Conquista em Estradas Globais da IRF (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.irf.global\/graa\/\">GRAA<\/a>) recognize innovative road projects and exemplary people that place the road industry at the forefront of worldwide social and economic development.<\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m de 48.000 km de avalia\u00e7\u00f5es RSAS, <a href=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/pt\/2018\/11\/new-thai-centre-of-excellence-chulalongkorn-university\/\">ThaiRAP<\/a>, the local road assessment programme for Thailand has Star Rated 1,350km, trained 1,035 local engineers and influenced more than US$1.5million of safer rural road infrastructure investment.
