A rota possui tr\u00e1fego intenso em alta velocidade misturando carros, motocicletas e ve\u00edculos pesados. Existem quatro grandes rotat\u00f3rias, uma alta participa\u00e7\u00e3o de ve\u00edculos de duas rodas e presen\u00e7a significativa de pedestres atravessando em v\u00e1rios locais.<\/p>\n<p>O corredor rodovi\u00e1rio de 11,6 km com pista dupla foi identificado como um \u201cSegundo Corredor de Demonstra\u00e7\u00e3o\u201d pelo Banco Mundial e pelo Departamento de Estradas e Edifica\u00e7\u00f5es do Governo de Gujarat. A LEA Associates South Asia, consultora do projeto, contratou a iRAP para avaliar a seguran\u00e7a do corredor existente e o projeto rodovi\u00e1rio.<\/p>\n<p>Foram realizadas avalia\u00e7\u00f5es de seguran\u00e7a rodovi\u00e1ria iRAP de refer\u00eancia para a via existente e para o projeto proposto. A equipe do IndiaRAP sugeriu medidas adicionais a serem inclu\u00eddas no projeto, a fim de garantir que a via alcan\u00e7asse uma classifica\u00e7\u00e3o de seguran\u00e7a de 3 estrelas ou superior para todos os usu\u00e1rios da via. Isso incluiu o redesenho e a melhoria da qualidade dos cruzamentos, a melhoria das vias de acesso, medidas de modera\u00e7\u00e3o de velocidade, travessias de pedestres sinalizadas, cal\u00e7adas e pontos de \u00f4nibus.
