{"id":2124,"date":"2020-07-02T00:23:37","date_gmt":"2020-07-01T14:23:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.temp.irap-dev.org\/pavesys-and-ifc-ensure-irap-methodology-is-used-as-a-road-safety-kpi-across-new-brazilian-concessions\/"},"modified":"2026-05-11T10:56:31","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T00:56:31","slug":"pavesys-and-ifc-ensure-irap-methodology-is-used-as-a-road-safety-kpi-across-new-brazilian-concessions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irap.org\/pt\/pavesys-and-ifc-ensure-irap-methodology-is-used-as-a-road-safety-kpi-across-new-brazilian-concessions\/","title":{"rendered":"Pavesys e IFC garantem que a metodologia iRAP seja usada como KPI de seguran\u00e7a vi\u00e1ria em novas concess\u00f5es brasileiras"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>June 2020:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/pavesys.com.br\/\">Pavesys<\/a> presented on how the iRAP methodology will be incorporated as a metric to measure the level of road safety along the Piracicaba-Panorama (PiPa) road concession over the next 30 years.<\/p>\n<p><em>This concession is the first in Brazil to include the iRAP global standard to measure the road safety of the network. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.temp.irap-dev.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Presentation-irap_PIPA-5-scaled-1.jpg\" alt=\"Presentation - irap_PIPA\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Pavesys was selected by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ifc.org\/wps\/wcm\/connect\/corp_ext_content\/ifc_external_corporate_site\/home\">IFC (part of the World Bank Group)<\/a> to do the consulting for the analysis of scenarios, to establish targets and road safety metrics for implementing the iRAP methodology on the PiPa project.<\/p>\n<p>IFC have created KPI\u2019s and established metrics to guarantee a minimum 3-star level of safety is maintained. The programme will be hosted by DNIT in association with local experts, using local research and resources, supported by\u00a0iRAP.<\/p>\n<p>Over 41,000 lives are lost each year due to road crashes in Brazil and eliminating high risk roads is critical to injury reductions. Achieving greater than 75 per cent of travel on 3-star or better roads for all road users by 2030 stands to save over 13,000 lives each year with an economic benefit of USD$9 for every $1 spent.
