{"id":11227,"date":"2026-06-01T12:11:31","date_gmt":"2026-06-01T02:11:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/irap.org\/?p=11227"},"modified":"2026-06-22T15:29:01","modified_gmt":"2026-06-22T05:29:01","slug":"movilab-escolar-for-safer-streets-for-children-and-youth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irap.org\/pt\/movilab-escolar-for-safer-streets-for-children-and-youth\/","title":{"rendered":"Movi\u00b7Lab Escolar: For Safer Streets for Children and Youth"},"content":{"rendered":"<section  class=\"text-editor-block section-pt-sm section-pb-sm bg-white\">\n        <div class=\"container\">\n            \n                            <!-- Single Column Layout -->\n                                    <div class=\"anim text-asphalt prose prose-lg text-left\">\n                        <p>iRAP joined the Movi\u00b7Lab Escolar Conference last week in Sao Paulo, in partnership with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iadb.org\/en\">Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/conecta.tec.mx\/en\/news\/national\/institution\/cities-better-future-mission-new-tec-center\">Tecnologico de Monterrey&#8217;s Centre for the Future of Cities<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insper.edu.br\/pt\/home\">Insper Institute of Education and Research<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Movi\u00b7Lab Escolar responds to a critical regional challenge: road traffic crashes are the leading cause of death among children aged 5\u201314.<\/p>\n<p>We were proud to contribute with insights on how safe road infrastructure can contribute to safe school mobility, liveable cities and initiatives to reduce the burden of road trauma associated with motorcycle crashes.<br \/>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Day two of the event included a site visit to Jundia\u00ed to see safe school zone interventions in action and a workshop to enhance child road safety for country contexts.
