Het richt zich op het aanpakken van urgente uitdagingen op het gebied van verkeersveiligheid en infrastructuurbeheer door realtime data-inzichten te integreren met kosteneffectieve oplossingen, innovatieve interventies en digitale technologie\u00ebn.<\/p>\n<p>Het project zal de aanpak demonstreren via pilotlocaties in vijf Europese landen: Portugal, Griekenland, Nederland, Kroati\u00eb en Spanje.<\/p>\n<p>Het dichte Europese netwerk van stedelijke en secundaire wegen, dat een cruciale rol speelt in de verbinding van gemeenschappen, is verantwoordelijk voor een aanzienlijk deel van de verkeersdoden. Deze wegen kampen vaak met uitdagingen zoals inconsistente ontwerpnormen, beperkte monitoring en uiteenlopende behoeften van weggebruikers, waaronder kwetsbare groepen fietsers, voetgangers en gemotoriseerde tweewielers.<\/p>\n<p>CAMBER wil deze problemen aanpakken door wegbeheerders instrumenten en methoden te bieden waarmee ze de verkeersveiligheid effici\u00ebnt en effectief kunnen beoordelen en verbeteren.<\/p>\n<p>Het project gebruikt data van telematica, voertuigsensoren, smartphones en feedback van weggebruikers om realtime veiligheidsbeoordelingen te ontwikkelen. Deze informatie helpt wegbeheerders risico&#039;s te identificeren en onderhoudstaken te prioriteren om zo een veiligere wegomgeving te cre\u00ebren. Het project cre\u00ebert digitale tweelingen van wegennetwerken om de omstandigheden te simuleren en onderhoudsbehoeften te voorspellen. Deze modellen bieden wegbeheerders bruikbare inzichten, wat de effici\u00ebntie van de onderhoudsplanning verbetert.<\/p>\n<p>De CAMBER-projectpartners kwamen op 3 en 4 juni in Zagreb bijeen voor een succesvolle en productieve tweedaagse consortiumvergadering.<\/p>\n<p>Dag 1 richtte zich op technische en methodologische updates van Werkpakket 2, inclusief de geboekte voortgang, ge\u00efdentificeerde uitdagingen en de planning voor 2025. In de sessies van Werkpakket 3 werden ontwikkelingen in sensortechnologie\u00ebn en het gebruik van probevoertuigen voor dataverzameling gepresenteerd. In aanvullende discussies werd aandacht besteed aan de vooruitgang in digitale tweelingmodellering onder Werkpakket 4, evenals aan pilottest- en evaluatiestrategie\u00ebn onder Werkpakket 5. De dag werd afgesloten met een sessie over communicatie- en verspreidingsplannen binnen Werkpakket 6.<\/p>\n<p>Op dag 2 werd een bezoek gebracht aan CAMBER-partners in het nationale toegangspunt van Kroati\u00eb. Tijdens dit bezoek leerden we meer over hun platform voor het verzamelen en delen van verkeers- en weggegevens. De hoofdspreker was Slavi\u0161a Babi\u0107, hoofd van de verkeersafdeling van Croatian Roads.<\/p>\n<p>De bijeenkomst bevestigde de gezamenlijke inzet van het consortium om de verkeersveiligheid te verbeteren door het gebruik van realtime data en innovatieve, kosteneffectieve oplossingen. Onze bijzondere dank gaat uit naar het Europees Instituut voor Wegenbouwkunde (EIRA) en de Faculteit Transport- en Verkeerswetenschappen (FPZ) van de Universiteit van Zagreb voor hun uitstekende organisatie en gastvrijheid, evenals naar alle partners voor hun actieve betrokkenheid en samenwerking.<\/p>\n<p>Partners kwamen eerder in januari bijeen voor de aftrap van het project in het Nationaal Laboratorium voor Civiele Techniek (LNEC) in Lissabon. Ze bezochten Cascais, een van de pilotlocaties van het project, waar ze kennismaakten met lokale mobiliteitsinitiatieven en de unieke uitdagingen en benaderingen van Cascais, toegepast op het wegennet en de mobiliteitsstrategie\u00ebn.<\/p>\n<p>Naarmate CAMBER vordert, zal het waardevolle inzichten en oplossingen opleveren om het aantal verkeersdoden te verminderen en de veiligheid op stedelijke en secundaire wegen in heel Europa te verbeteren.<\/p>\n<p>Onder leiding van ERTICO zorgen de communicatie-, verspreidings- en exploitatieactiviteiten van het project ervoor dat de bevindingen van CAMBER een breed publiek bereiken, waaronder beleidsmakers, wegbeheerders en leiders uit de industrie.
