Proactive risk mapping and infrastructure safety management and will be hosted by both NTUA and iRAP.<\/p>\n<p>J\u00falia will focus on these objectives as part of the project:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To create an AI framework to process, harmonise, analyse and model an array of different available datasets and provide outputs in the form of risk mapping and network-level evaluations<\/li>\n<li>To develop new AI algorithms for road attribute collection, along with methodologies to assess and quantify their accuracies, suitable for network applications and including hybrid, e.g., manually collected data<\/li>\n<li>To use the AI-augmented dataset creation effort for a suitable working methodology for the generation of hybrid road attribute data and enhanced proactive risk mapping<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ivory-network.eu\/index.php\/dc8\/\">Read about Julia\u2019s IVORY Project work here<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ivory-network.eu\/index.php\/dc12\/\"><strong>Mohammad Shahid<\/strong><\/a><strong> has his Masters in Engineering &#8211; Computer Science and Technology<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mohammad will be working onDC12. Harmonisation and hybrid application of AI datasets for road safety and will be hosted by both FPZ and iRAP.<\/p>\n<p>Mohammad will focus on these objectives as part of the project:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To create a taxonomy for classifying datasets generated by AI algorithms applied to data from various sources (e.g., Lidar, 360 imagery, geo-spatial, telematics, satellite imagery and traffic management) and assess their transferability<\/li>\n<li>To create a new methodology for harmonising datasets generated by both AI algorithms and manual approaches<\/li>\n<li>To develop new hybrid road safety assessment models that effectively combine the advantages of various data sources, for determining the road crash occurrence risks and the risks of serious injuries to motorised road users and VRUs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ivory-network.eu\/index.php\/dc12\/\">Read about Mohammad\u2019s IVORY Project work here<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Last week, the full IVORY Horizon Europe network \u201cIVORY\u201d, coordinated by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/tu-delft-technology-policy-and-management\/\">TU Delft | Technology, Policy and Management<\/a>, gathered in at NUTA in Athens.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting provided the opportunity for all the doctoral candidates, their academic and industrial supervisors to gather together in person and explore the direction their research will take.<\/p>\n<p>Welcome J\u00falia and Muhammad!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>About IVORY Project: <\/strong>IVORY \u2013 \u2018AI for Vision Zero in Road Safety\u2019 is an industrial doctorates network, aiming to develop a new framework for the integration of AI in road safety and create a new generation of leading researchers in the field, in order to address the UN Sustainable Development Goals target 3.6 (halving the number of traffic fatalities by 2030) and EC \u2018Vision Zero\u2019 strategy (eliminating traffic fatalities by 2050). IVORY consists of 4 academic and 8 non-academic beneficiaries, as well as 8 associated partners, joining from engineering, data science and ethics of technology disciplines from 10 countries.
