{"id":6342,"date":"2026-04-20T03:34:35","date_gmt":"2026-04-19T17:34:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.temp.irap-dev.org\/improving-road-safety-on-silao-san-felipe-highway\/"},"modified":"2026-04-30T15:13:01","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T05:13:01","slug":"improving-road-safety-on-silao-san-felipe-highway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irap.org\/nl\/improving-road-safety-on-silao-san-felipe-highway\/","title":{"rendered":"Verkeersveiligheid op de Mexicaanse snelweg Silao\u2013San Felipe onder de loep"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Het verbeteren van de verkeersveiligheid op de snelweg Silao\u2013San Felipe in Guanajuato, Mexico, is het doel van een project geleid door de <a href=\"https:\/\/obrapublica.guanajuato.gob.mx\/\">Ministerie van Openbare Werken van de staat Guanajuato (SOP)<\/a>, in samenwerking met <a href=\"https:\/\/www.semicmex.com.mx\/\">Mexicaanse Civieltechnische Diensten (SEMIC)<\/a> en de International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP).<\/p>\n<p>Als onderdeel van een uitgebreide strategie om de veiligheid en mobiliteit in het staatsnetwerk te versterken, is het doel van het technische bijstands- en capaciteitsopbouwproject om verbeterpunten te identificeren en wegvakken te prioriteren met de grootste veiligheidsuitdagingen langs deze ongeveer 70 kilometer lange corridor.<\/p>\n<p>In de afgelopen jaren heeft de corridor talloze verkeersongevallen gekend, wat het belang onderstreept van het implementeren van evidence-based maatregelen om de verkeersomstandigheden te verbeteren en de risico's voor weggebruikers te verminderen.<\/p>\n<p>In het kader van het project is een uitgebreide Star Rating-beoordeling uitgevoerd volgens de iRAP-methodologie, waarbij wegen met 1 ster het grootste risico vormen en wegen met 5 sterren het veiligst zijn.<\/p>\n<p>Kind bevindingen zijn onder meer:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Slechts 30 procent van de route scoort de internationale veiligheidsnorm van 3 sterren of beter voor voertuiginzittenden.<\/li>\n<li>Voor motorrijders werden aanzienlijke verbeterpunten ge\u00efdentificeerd om minimaal een 3-sterrenclassificatie voor deze groep weggebruikers te behalen.<\/li>\n<li>\u00b7 Hoewel er zebrapaden zijn, werd bij sommige een gebrek aan adequate bewegwijzering vastgesteld.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Guanajuato-SR-map.png\" alt=\"Guanajuato SR map\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/I-1.jpeg\" alt=\"I 1\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>De Sterrenbeoordelingsresultaten voor voertuiginzittenden en de gebruikte SEMIC-enqu\u00eatevoertuig om de beoordelingen uit te voeren<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Op basis van de resultaten is er een bewijsgebaseerd Safer Road Investment Plan (SRIP) ontwikkeld om de verkeersveiligheid voor autobestuurders, motorrijders, voetgangers en fietsers te optimaliseren, in lijn met de 3-sterren of betere veiligheidsnorm.<\/p>\n<p>Van de ge\u00efdentificeerde prioriteitsmaatregelen die zowel op korte als op lange termijn kosteneffectief zijn, werden de volgende aanbevolen voor implementatie:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wegverbreding<\/li>\n<li>Het upgraden van ondeelde risicovolle secties naar autostrade<\/li>\n<li>Verbetering van het wegdek<\/li>\n<li>Installatie van veiligheidsbarri\u00e8res<\/li>\n<li>Installatie van rumble strips op de berm van wegen<\/li>\n<li>Aanleg van trottoirs en fietspaden op cruciale punten<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Daarnaast hebben technische medewerkers van de SOP een gespecialiseerde opleiding gevolgd bij iRAP, wat de institutionele capaciteit voor de evaluatie en voortdurende verbetering van het rijkswegennet zal versterken.<\/p>\n<p>De secretaris van Openbare Werken, ing. Juan Pablo P\u00e9rez Beltr\u00e1n, benadrukte het belang van het initiatief en merkte op: \u201cBij het secretariaat zetten we ons in voor verkeersveiligheid en het beoordelen van de wegen die onder onze bevoegdheid vallen, zodat we effici\u00ebnt en effectief kunnen ingrijpen om de veiligheid van weggebruikers te waarborgen. We zijn erg blij met deze samenwerking met iRAP, waarmee we de basis leggen voor een beleid inzake verkeersveiligheid op de openbare weg dat het leven beschermt van mensen die door onze staat reizen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/14.jpeg\" alt=\"14\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/6.jpeg\" alt=\"6\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Agustin Centeno, Senior Ingenieur Verkeersveiligheid bij iRAP, geeft SOP-medewerkers een training in Guanajuato-stad<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/irap.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Guanajuato-results-share-meeting-Feb-2026.jpg\" alt=\"Guanajuato results share meeting Feb 2026\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Het projectteam van iRAP, SEMIC en SOP bespreekt de beoordelingsresultaten en de volgende stappen<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dit project vormt de eerste samenwerking tussen iRAP en een deelstaatregering in Mexico en draagt bij aan de visie van Guanajuato om veiliger, duurzamer en inclusiever vervoer te blijven bevorderen, in lijn met VN-doelstellingen 3 en 4 voor infrastructuurveiligheid.
